Miss Bohaboy's 3rd grade class spent the last few weeks working on book reports to celebrate their reading success throughout the year. Each student got to choose a fiction book that interested them to create their report.
First, they read the book from start to finish. After they read the book, they chose 3-5 major events that were important to the action of the story. They wrote a draft for their event summaries, and typed their writing so it could be printed out.
Next came the fun part (according to several of the students)- designing and assembling their projects! Students chose the color of hanger, construction paper, and designed their cover pages. Then, they illustrated their events and assembled their mobile.
Students are set to present their book reports to the class during the last week of school.
"I am excited, but also kind of nervous", one student shared. "Talking in front of people can be hard. But I am excited to share!"
