The kindergarteners got to experience life on the farm right at school! On Friday, April 29th the students go to visit the animals on the blacktop of our playground. They loved meeting the pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, turkey, sheep, and rabbits. They also got to sit on a tractor. “I loved bringing this experience to our students! This was the first time many of them had seen these animals and they were so excited to touch them and learn more about them.”, said SunShine Waber, kindergarten teacher. The Farm Day was the end to a week long unit on Farm Animals. In addition, the students researched and wrote an informational story about one of these farm animals. Many of the students reported it was the best day ever! A special thanks to the Baitz family, the Harris family, Purdue Pig Farms, and Bobcat of Lafayette.
