This year, students from Mrs. Long's class are meeting once a month during lunch to spread kindness throughout the school. During their first meeting in September, students created welcome bags to be given to new students that transfer to Mayflower Mill throughout the year. One member has already delivered a welcome bag to a new student and then immediately said, "That felt good to see them smile!" The October meeting was spent making Boo Bags filled with candy and a personalized note for their blitz reading teacher and classmates not in Kindness Club. Upcoming activities include making bookmarks for the library, cheer cups for staff, test encouragement posters, and bulletin boards displaying ways to be kind.
