Wish Your Worries Away!
Taylor Butcher

In Miss Fay's 3rd grade class, we have been celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! First we read a book about Dreamers. Then we learned some basic Spanish such as thank you, please, bathroom, school, and how to count to 10. Finally, we made Guatemalan Worry Dolls! Guatemalan legend says that if you make a worry doll, whisper your worries into your doll, then put the doll under your pillow, you will be granted the wisdom and knowledge to eliminate your worries. Each worry doll came out as different and unique as the students themselves. Time to wish our worries away!
