The Tippecanoe School Corporation will host Kindergarten Roundup for the 2018-2019 school year Wednesday, April 11, at all 11 of its elementary schools. Mayflower Mill Elementary will host activities for incoming kindergarten students and their families from 6 - 7 pm.
Parents/guardians enrolling an incoming kindergarten student must contact the school before roundup to acquire a username and password for online registration. Families will also need an emergency contact list for online registration.
Families need to provide the child's immunization record, proof of residency and legal birth certificate (not the certificate presented by the hospital) or passport during roundup. Please contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.
Children must be five years of age on or before August 1, 2018 to be eligible for enrollment in kindergarten. If a parent feels the child is not emotionally mature enough for exposure to the school environment, the family may wait a year before enrolling. If the parent feels the child is ready for a kindergarten experience, but does not meet the birth date eligibility requirement, the parent may apply to the TSC Superintendent. The Superintendent will determine admission based on date of birth and space availability. If more applications are received than spaces, children whose birth dates are closest to August 1 will be admitted. If no space is available, or it is not in the best interest of the school or children, no early admission will be accepted.
Please contact Mayflower Mill as soon as possible to begin the registration process. Bring the child's birth certificate and immunization records to Kindergarten Roundup.
